WORDS
So few words can make you think
But some can hurt your soul
And living each day alone inside
You’re no longer in control
People hide behind their morals
And then claim to be unflawed
Yet consecutively commit all seven sins
Without a second thought
Each day bleeds into the next
Like a cut that won’t clot
Then a scar is left to remind you
Of the yesterdays you forgot
What if we’re stuck between two worlds
Touched both by light and dark
In this hell we’re tested
And cursed with conscience thought
I’m sad because I think too much
Sometimes searching throughout my mind
In vain and inconclusive
My answers I didn’t find
We all want to be like everyone else
We live in a world where it’s wrong to feel
Too sad too different
Just swallow this pill
If I didn’t know my neck would crack
If pills were in my reach
If a gun didn’t make so much noise
My maker I would meet
Some words can make you think
And some can hurt your soul
But I use words to let it out
So I don’t lose control
